Ludlow is a pretty market town nestling deep in the wonderful Marches area of South Shropshire. Steeped in history with a wealth of places to visit in the twon alone there are more than five hundred listed buildings! Also located within the town centre is the beautiful Parish Church of St. Laurence, which is one of the largest in the country.
During the summer Ludlow bustles most days with markets, with varying types from week to week. These include local produce and also antique/flea markets. In addition to this, the town has a fine selection of shops including butchers, bakers and greengrocers all supplying local produce. The town is also home to many wonderful teashops, many historic public houses and some of the best Michelin starred restaurants including Mr Underhills.
Ludlow is a perfect starting point for a relaxing holiday within the beautiful countryside of the Shropshire Hills and Marches. These can make for some extremely interesting walks and bike rides. The town is also within easy reach of Worcester, Hereford, Shrewsbury and many other places of interest.
